Project Committees Sign up on our volunteer survey form to help us to with specific aspects of our overall efforts: Grant Research and Writing: Research grant funding opportunities for our various projects and assist in the securing of those grants. Fundraising: Help develop our overall fundraising strategy and help us raise the funds needed for our projects. Marketing: Help develop an overall marketing strategy for our organization and for fundraising, and assist in the creation of marketing materials, etc. Advisory Panel: Serve as an advisor to our Steering Committee, offering guidance and assistance when appropriate. Administrative Assistance: Help with organizing and managing the administrative aspects of our organization, including bookkeeping, program management, office management, and others. Glacier Discovery Square Committees:
There are a myriad of ways to get involved to help develop Glacier Discovery Square, a world-class Education and Community Center in the heart of Columbia Falls! Resource Education Center: Help us develop a vibrant education facility at Discovery Square that will offer educational opportunities in resource management, outdoor recreation, forestry management, and many others. Community Center at Discovery Square: Help develop ideas for the best uses of the community meeting spaces in the facility, and propose modifications/improvements to the building to accommodate these uses. Legacy Archive: Help develop the local heritage archive project, to be housed at the CF Library at Discovery Square. Includes developing plans for the digital archive project and other aspects of the overall heritage project. Outdoor Spaces: Develop ideas for the best uses of the outdoor spaces at the Square, and propose modifications/improvements to the site to accommodate these uses. Cleanup and Maintenance Crew: Help us by volunteering to be on a rotating crew to do clean up and maintenance work at Discovery Square. You would be part of a team, so your time commitment would be limited. Grounds Maintenance/Landscaping: Help maintain and improve the outdoor gardens and landscaping at Discovery Square. Includes working with the Montana Native Plant Society to develop native plant demonstration gardens throughout the property. Gateway to the Wild Trails Committees:
Get involved developing plans for and actually building new trails in and around Columbia Falls! Historic Red Bridge Park: Help develop the plan to preserve the Red Bridge and turn it into a pedestrian crossing, and riverfront park. Community Renaissance Committees: Join our effort to preserve our beautiful small town, while developing amenities and events that improve our quality of life and create economic opportunities! Tree City, USA program: Support the program in CFalls to plant new trees and increase the urban forest. Arbor Day Festival Assist with planning and putting on the annual Arbor Day Festival in May. Farmer’s Market: Assist with planning and putting on the annual Farmer’s Market at Discovery Square. There are many many ways to get involved in your community.
